Visitors to the South Eastern Division

Class 14 Shunter No. 14029 made for an interesting spectacle on 27th February 2006, when it was
witnessed on the elevated connecting spur between the Channel Tunnel Link and the North Kent Line.
56 of these were built at Swindon Works during 1965 and used thereafter on the Western Region. After
withdrawal from British Rail, a number went into private industrial ownership. This particular example
was on the Nene Valley Railway between 1988 and 2000, and is currently fulfilling Channel Tunnel
contract work. David Glasspool

Two redundant Gatwick Luggage Vans were stabled in Tonbridge West Yard on 16th February
2006, these being Nos. 9102 and 9109. It will be interesting to see whether this pair make it into
preservation - other withdrawn units so far have. David Glasspool

A visitor, or perhaps more of a frequenter? Here, No. 377463 is seen after departure from
Tonbridge, making its way back to Redhill on 16th February 2006. David Glasspool
