In the background of this eastward view is a road bridge which did not require rebuilding in 1991. In the foreground, on the right, is the fencing of the 1990 prefabricated concrete platform extension. On the left, behind the fence, is the dock line. © David Glasspool

The main station building retains a canopy on its car park-facing elevation; the valance pattern of this matches those of the platform canopies. This structure demonstrates the typical arched window frames found on those earlier structures along the Bat & Ball route, and has recently been re-roofed in slate. © David Glasspool
An eastward view from the footbridge shows a trailing crossover, which has been a feature of the track layout since the station's earliest years. On the far right is the site of the former goods yard, which is now occupied by a builders' merchant. The waiting shelter has seen both of its window frames bricked up, just like the example at Charing. © David Glasspool
