London & Greenwich Railway 150th Anniversary
23rd & 24th August 1986
The first member of the Class 58 fleet was at the exhibition, wearing the grey,
yellow and red livery of the Railfreight sector. Railfreight was split up into a
further six sub-sectors on 15th October 1987, marking the end of the above
livery, but heralding the beginning of a new, and much more attractive two-tone
grey scheme. Mike Glasspool
Class 47 No. 47638 '''County of Kent'' is seen at the terminus wearing the
same blue and yellow ''large logo'' livery as the Class 56 featured on the
previous page. No. 47638 had only just received this name a couple of months
before this event - 20th June 1986. Mike Glasspool
