Axminster
By no means exact matches, similarities between the station building at Axminster and that
formerly at Lordship Lane, can be deciphered. Of particular note is the main two-storey
pitched-roof section on the far left of the building: Lordship Lane had two such sections
amalgamated, although one was lost during World War II as a result of bombing. The
square window frames here are virtually identical to those formerly at Lordship Lane,
as are the gables of the pitched roofs. The above view of Axminster's station building
