Another northward view shows the obvious extension of the ''up'' platform, on the left. The ''down'' canopy was replaced by a ''bus shelter'', but this has also since disappeared. © David Glasspool
A church or a station? The splendid main building sits in harmony with the nearby Battle Abbey. The red brick wall on the left was a later addition made by the SE&CR, to support the lengthy platform canopy. © David Glasspool
