When the "Thameslink" franchise was under the tenure of "First Group", units were re-vinyled in a purple/blue scheme, along similar lines to that stock which came under the company's "Great Western" operation out of Paddington. Here, No. 319370 is seen sharing platform 3 at Blackfriars with a Class 465, by which time "First Capital Connect" branding had been removed and plain "Thameslink" logos applied. © David Glasspool
Wearing "Southern" livery, but with "Thameslink" branding on the body sides, No. 319008 is seen at terminus platform 4 at Blackfriars. No. 319008 is somewhat of a celebrity, having been the first unit to carry British passengers through the then new Channel Tunnel in 1993. © David Glasspool
To commemorate the trip through the tunnel on 10th December 1993, No. 319008 was named "Cheriton", and plaques were affixed to either side of the unit, in addition to the Union Jack and Tricolor. © David Glasspool
No. 319002 is seen at Blackfriars' platform 1 wearing the plain white livery, combined with light blue doors, which started to be introduced to the fleet in summer 2014. The unit was working the 13:14 departure from St Albans to Sutton and, due to a prolonged stop at Blackfriars, the train arrived eight minutes late at its destination. © David Glasspool
