Class 373 No. 3217 is seen departing Ebbsfleet, forming the 15:59 (local time) service from Brussels, with scheduled arrival at St Pancras at 17:03 (BST). At the time, the ''high-level'' domestic island platform was under an engineering possession. In the foreground is the ''up'' avoiding line for non-stop services. © David Glasspool

Unit No. 3218 was forming the rear half of the train, and is seen here passing under the North Kent Line Upon the latter can be seen the tail end of a Class 66-hauled departmental working to Hoo Junction, which appears to include a BR Mk 1 Full Brake at its rear. © David Glasspool

No. 395002 is seen arriving with the 16:37 departure from St Pancras. In the distance can just be seen the cab front of another Class 395 unit, this of which was forming part of a twelve vehicle formation not in public use. © David Glasspool
