A terminating TGV-PSE (TGV Paris Syd-Est) unit is seen at platform 43 in this southward view, wearing the silver/blue livery introduced in about the year 2000. Netting is present along the wall edges to prevent any objects falling onto the track. © David Glasspool
A second southward view shows the tracks of platform Nos. 43 and 45 disappearing underground; they return to see complete light of day about 1-KM south of the station, alongside the tracks from Lille Flandres. It is evident here that the glass partition on the right does not reach the station's roof. © David Glasspool
This view better shows how platform Nos. 43 and 45 can be segregated from the rest of the station when London services arrive/depart, through the use of sliding doors. Eurostar passengers access these platforms from a staircase at the northern end of the station, via a separate lounge. The TGV formation at platform No. 45 had recently terminated with a service from Gare du Nord. © David Glasspool
Platform Nos. 44 and 46 have a more "underground" feel to them, given that the station concourse extends over the tracks here. Behind the pillars on the right is the double-track bypass line, used by non-stop trains to/from Paris. © David Glasspool
