Spa Valley Railway
Since the original station buildings were not available for use, a charming new station was built the
other side of the road bridge, and took the same name. When visited in April 2002, this is where the
line terminated, but as of June 2005, the operational section of track was extended to Birchden, where
the main line from London comes into view. Progressing to Eridge is the railway society's ultimate goal.

The run-a-round arrangement here is interesting. The line remains single alongside the platform
and is only double beyond it, thus the whole train is moved off to allow the locomotive to utilise
the run-a-round loop, which Peckett 0-6-0 ''Fonman'' is seen doing now. In the distance can be
seen a Mk 1 carriage on the then closed extension to Birchden. David Glasspool
