Wateringbury

An eastward view on a wet 12th February 2005 gives a good impression of the general station layout. The

platforms are staggered and are linked by a concrete footbridge erected by the Southern Region in conjunction

with the line's electrification. David Glasspool

The style of the main building here replicates that at Aylesford, but red brick work constitutes the structure

rather than ''Kentish Ragstone''. An additional feature at Wateringbury is the former Station Master's house,

the structure of which is the furthest building on the platform viewed. For the level of traffic the station serves,

the buildings here are certainly substantial. David Glasspool

Re-signalling of the line was occurring at the time of this view towards Maidstone West on a soaking 12th

February 2005. Both a semaphore signal and colour light are in view, the latter making an interesting

reflection off the puddle at the bottom left. David Glasspool
