Cliffe Gravel Works

The third line from the previous picture is seen once again, with a clearer side-on view of what can now be deciphered as VTG JUA-D type wagons. The end of the Brett hopper wagon line can be seen in the immediate foreground, on the left. © David Glasspool

Now nearing the rear of the yard, we see more of the same wagon type and plenty of gravel conveyance apparatus, in addition to piles of gravel. © David Glasspool

We are now at the very back of the yard, where a few of the sidings have slewed to terminate at the shed which can just be seen emerging on the right. A typical working yard with machinery laid around - these rear lines give the impression that they have not seen rolling stock for some time. No locomotives were on site on this day. © David Glasspool
