A view not often seen: that of a power car detached from its half set. This sorry-looking vehicle was seen stabled at Temple Mills Depot, minus its number and a series of roof panels. © David Glasspool
Looking across the lines to the southern side of Temple Mills, another rather forlorn power car missing a large part of its roof and partially covered in tarpaulin, is in view. The carriages alongside had evidently been outside for some time, moss starting to take hold below the roof line. The carriages were coupled in a formation of seven, therefore presumably belonged to one of the "Regional" sets. © David Glasspool
Half set Nos. 3006 and 3005 were to be seen along the northern side of Temple Mills, emerging from the heavy maintenance building. © David Glasspool
A refurbishment of the Class 373 fleet commenced in late 2012, when the first half sets were withdrawn from service for the scheme. At Temple Mills, fibreglass moulds for a cab and light clusters were in evidence, already painted in the new Eurostar livery. © David Glasspool
