Compared to the earlier view from the 1970s, the façade of the ''high-level'' building presented a clean, tidy appearance, and retained SER sash-style windows. © David Glasspool

Class 465 No. 465174, still sporting Network SouthEast livery but with the recent addition of black window frames, departs with a London Charing Cross to Hayes service. This southward view, taken from street level, shows to good effect the high retaining walls lining the rears of the platforms. © David Glasspool

A northward view shows that the height of the ''up'' side wall has been cut back, and that a string of barbed wire runs for much of its length. Twelve stanchions used to support the ''up'' side canopy; now just five remain. © David Glasspool
