Class 375 No. 375820 is seen after arrival at platform 4 from Ramsgate. On the left is the former telephone exchange building of 1958, whilst depicted in the centre is the attractive ''up'' side waiting room. The platform canopy formerly encompassed this structure, before truncation during the 1970s. © David Glasspool

At the eastern end of the ''down'' platform remain two artefacts of the LC&DR station. The water tower, on the right, was touched upon earlier, and since the 2004 photograph, the attractive patterned paintwork has given way to a plain grey overcoat. The yellow-brick pitch-roof structure in the foreground was formerly used as stables. © David Glasspool

A London-bound view reveals the attractive island canopy, serving as a reminder of the design which formerly all platforms here, and those at Ashford. The fruits of the restoration work on the main building, witnessed in those earlier views from 2004, can be seen here. © David Glasspool
