This is the National Railway Museum's ''3 Sub'' motor coach No. 8143, which was formerly

part of unit No. 1293. The unit was withdrawn in November 1960 in its reformed state of

''4 Cor'' motor coach No. 11179 was also on display over the weekend, and during its

career was part of EMU No. 3131. This coach is also part of the National Railway

Completing the trio of green preserved units was Bulleid-designed 4 EPB No. 5001. The

unit was repainted into this livery from standard BR Blue and Grey in November 1990, but

sadly was lost to scrap as recently as 2004. Mike Glasspool
