4-VEP No. 3423 is seen calling at platform 3 forming a Gillingham to Victoria service. The lattice bridge carries a footpath across the tracks; the enclosed footbridge linking the platforms is in the background. The large television screen stacks on either side were installed during 1991, as part of the ''Networker'' scheme of driver-only-operation. © David Glasspool
A view roughly looking north east has the junction between Chatham and Maidstone/Sevenoaks lines, on the left and right respectively. The “Odean” style signal box formerly occupied the site between tracks at the bottom right. © David Glasspool
This modest single-storey ticket office, located at the top of the cutting on the southern side of the railway, was in use by 1971. A similar structure came into use at Newington around the same time, comprising the same brown brick and timber valance. © David Glasspool
The footbridge linking the island platforms is spacious and provides ample protection from the elements. This view is looking roughly north, with the stairs to the platforms on the left and the lift shafts on the right, in addition to lockers for hire that were large enough to accommodate bicycles. © David Glasspool
