Over the weekend of 16th/17th February 2013, the station was closed for ongoing rebuilding, which included the assembly of a new canopy on platforms 3/4. Already painted in ''Battleship Grey'', it awaits roof cladding and valances. © David Glasspool

The new canopy framework was still minus cladding just over two weeks after the previous view was taken. Class 465 No. 465171 was forming the 14:38 service to Victoria. © David Glasspool

The substantial framework of the new main building had mostly been engulfed by plastic sheeting by this time. Work had commenced on heightening the building by a fourth storey. On the left is Class 465 No. 465036. © David Glasspool
