At the western end of the ''down'' island, some remnants of the previous station are still in evidence. SER brick work continues to constitute the platform here, and upon the surface remains a section of the SE&CR canopy. Naturally, the latter now sports a simplified timber valance and is host to a CLASP office. © David Glasspool

Class 465 No. 465201 is seen making its way towards the rolling stock sidings within the deep cutting east of the station. The CLASP structure on the left was once host to the ''Dartford Panel''. © David Glasspool
